Economics and Management for Arts, Culture and Communication

Overview

3 yrs
English, Italian
180 CFU

The program gives you the opportunity to explore a variety of economics, business and humanities topics, which will enhance your critical assessment skills. All of this will prepare you to become a good manager. The variety of subjects covered is what sets it apart from the other Bocconi BSc programs.

Graduates of this program work at a wide range of companies and institutions in different industries, but the program’s approach and teaching methods make it particularly suitable to students interested in artistic industries (museums, theaters and auction houses), cultural sectors (publishing, music and television) and creative areas (fashion, design, communication and urban development).

You will learn a comparative approach. Management and entrepreneurial professionals are prepared for international environments requiring the ability to adapt to and interact with different cultures and languages.

You will put yourself to the test. The program focuses on project management through group projects and workshops inspired by companies and institutions.

You will live in a bustling and exciting city: Milan is an ideal setting, due to the large number of opportunities to meet and get in touch with companies from all industries and cultural institutions of all types.

Active learning is an essential feature of the curriculum and interaction between students with different backgrounds encourages an exchange of views and the development of listening skills.

A number of international undergraduate programs offer a curriculum in which the liberal arts are taught within a management program.

In the case of this Bachelor of Science, liberal arts classes are considered fundamental building blocks in the education of a future manager and entrepreneur.

It aims to educate outstanding professionals, well suited to working in turbulent contexts and addressing challenging problems, due to their superior listening skills and their ability to address multi-stakeholder issues.

Our graduates are people who are oriented, rooted in their beliefs and possessing solid management skills and therefore able to face the opportunities and challenges of globalization.
Trained to understand the methods and practices of the arts as well as economic theory and management practice, they are able to work in diverse and multicultural contexts, where it is important to be able to simultaneously address very different perspectives, attitudes and behaviors.
