Women Award

A.Y. 2024-25

Bocconi University believes that gender equality should always be supported, including during studies, so that the entire academic population can grow and develop in a plural and inclusive way, enhancing, at every possible opportunity, the characteristics and qualities of all its members and acquiring knowledge and skills on an equal level.

Bocconi University therefore supports the entire student body and, in particular with this benefit, women who want to pursue a career in fields of study often, wrongly, considered primarily male-oriented.

  1. Requirements

The Bocconi Women Awards are, in fact, 100% exemptions for deserving female students enrolled for the 2024-2025 academic year in the first year of courses in:

  • Economics, Management and Computer Science
  • International Economics and Finance
  • Mathematical and Computing Sciences for Artificial Intelligence
  • Economic and Social Sciences

The benefit does not have to be explicitly requested, but will be assigned at the unquestionable judgement of the Scholarships Committee, giving priority to deserving female students who have also shown financial need through the online application "Bocconi4Access to Education a.y. 2024-2025" (the expression of need is not however a necessary requirement for the assignment of the benefit, the University reserves the right to assign the Bocconi Women Award also on the basis of merit alone when appropriate).

The provisions outlined below constitute the official publication of the regulations for the a.y. 2024-25 regarding the benefit of "Woman Award” for students enrolled in the first year of the Bachelor's degree program and Law program in the a.y. 2024-25.

The provisions outlined on this page constitute official publication of the regulations for the benefits provided under the “Bocconi4Access to Education” support scheme, dedicated to students enrolled in the first year of Bachelor of Science and Law Programs in the a.y. 2024-25.

The assignment of the Women Award will be communicated at the same time as the communication of the other types of benefit and will differ according to the admission session in which the candidates will have participated.

Following the communication of the result with which the assignment of a given benefit is communicated, the beneficiary will be required to follow the instructions that will be provided to her in order to accept the benefit in due time.

The student enrolled in the first year of the academic year 2024-2025 will then find her updated financial situation at Punto Blu, in the you@B diary, after the start of courses and approximately by the end of September 2024. It is specified that in all cases in which the student, during the academic year, incurs the revocation and/or forfeiture of the benefit, the financial situation at Punto Blu will be updated with the cancellation of the benefit and the assignment of the ordinary university contribution.

Lastly, since Università Bocconi commits its own resources and kind donations and gifts from private donors, Foundations and Fundraisers during the academic year for the provision of benefits, female student beneficiaries may be contacted by the Fundraising Department of Università Bocconi or by one or more donors for participation in academic or non-academic activities.

All benefits assigned by Università Bocconi can be confirmed from year to year during the legal duration of study cycle upon the student's compliance with specific merit requirements detailed herein.

Assignee students will still be required to pay the first instalment down payment for each academic year. This amount, once the requirements to maintain the benefit have been met, will be reimbursed each year by the end of December of the academic year in question.

Please note that the Bocconi Women Award is strictly linked to the degree course of admission communicated at the time of the selection result. For this reason, there is no guarantee that, in the event of a change of degree course, the benefit will be extended to the assigned student.

Students may lose their benefit, or the benefit itself may be revoked, if one of the following conditions listed on the dedicated pages occurs.
